Gone To Loving Homes - Fifi

Posted On: 21 Aug 2019

Little Fifi was born a pedigree mini pinscher and as the laws of probability go, should have led a life of luxury and comfort, pampered and loved by the people who have purchased her. But something went horribly wrong. Her owners were ignorant about the needs of dogs and had no inclination for her welfare at all.

They put her in a cabinet under the kitchen sink and there she spent her life for god knows how long, void of any true human contact and touch, totally terrified. How long those years must have been for her, it must have been hell on earth. How could anyone be so depraved is really beyond our comprehension and it was all one could do to control the impulse to just snatch her away to escape her tortured life when this was made known.

However with some persuasion, the owners eventually surrendered the dog, and so the world finally opened up for dear little Fifi. And it was such a traumatic experience for her. Having spent all her life in that cabinet, she was terrified of strangers, noises, new smells, and everything was foreign to her.

Her current owner recalled how she refused to come out of her box when she first arrived at her new home, and she would just hide in a corner cowering in fear.

But kind, gentle, and compassionate Peggy and her mum showered her with so much love, care and concern that a year down the road, little Fifi is the epitome of confidence.

Now she would bark to defend her home, but once she recognizes you to be a friend, she will settle down to welcome you into her warm and loving home. And she has grown emotionally to be a vain little dog, posing for photographs, and showing off her beautiful shiny coat!

At the same time, she has gentle giant Yuki for companionship and the 2 are so contented to be in the loving care of their wonderful family.

We are really glad that Fifi had the strength of character to shrug off her terrible past and to live for the present and the future, and we are really happy that there are people like the Chiam family who have made this world a better place. There is hope yet for the human race!
